  I have had spider vein treatment, IPL, and Botox as a patient and all treatment was excellent. Very friendly, caring staff and Doctor. Minimal pain with any of the treatment. Highly recommend to anyone. My girlfriend had a lot of varicose veins and Dr. Mackay did an awesome job on her legs, she wears skirts now!

  At my first consultation visit with Dr. Mackay he was very cordial and explained the procedure options for treating my varicose veins. At that consultation Dr. Mackay stated that I could opt for nitrous gas which there would be a $150 fee. I opted for it and paid prior to walking in for my procedure. The procedure was supposed to take approximately 1 hour 1/2 hour into the procedure I asked the Dr. if I was going to get the gas and he replied oh you opted for gas, we don't even have it anymore. By that point I was completed drenched in sweat having to go through this barbaric procedure. When I left the procedure the office staff were clueless when I told them the Dr. stated they no longer have nitrous gas. They promptly refunded me the money for the gas I never got. The front end woman who handles some reception duties and health insurance is a stoned faced woman not at all nice and has made mistakes regarding my co-payments. What I was told about the procedure and the rapid recovery was completely inaccurate. I am a 54 year old policeman and have been a policeman for 35 years and keep myself in what I consider above average physical condition. This procedure caused a lot of pain and discomfort I did not have before. At approximately 3 months after the procedure I still have issues that I wanted to discuss with the Dr. or the P.A. however at my appointment this morning I had no choice but to walk out of the office due to the unprofessional discourteous woman that handles the insurance. This same woman who charged me for nitrous gas they no longer had and erroneously charged me before regarding my co-payments. I had heard excellent things about Dr. Mackay that's why I went to him, however my experience with the procedure and some of his office staff was very negative to say the least. I am now consulting with another vascular surgeon for my follow up.
